i quit instagram a year ago, and the process
was quite hard. i had to push myself to
avoid opening the app since it had become
muscle memory. one feature that helped
me the most was setting time limits on
apps. however, the interaction felt plain
—a simple popup would remind me of the
time remaining in the app.
so I thought, why not recreate the
experience with apple’s glowy edge effects,
while leveraging the dynamic Island for a
seamless and engaging interaction?

and noticed an inconsistency in the
animation. When dragging from the bottom
to reach apps at the top edge of the screen,
the entire screen shifts downward.
However, when using “Type to Siri,” the
interface simply appears without shifting
the screen.
To maintain consistency, why not apply
the same animation style for
both interactions?
